CAMPUS: the 1,250 acre campus of the University of Notre Dame includes twenty seven residence halls , two serene lakes, several large and loud athletic arenas, two gorgeous dining halls, a multitude of classroom buildings, one beautifully gothic Basilica , trees that greet each season with new colors, and, of course, our famous Golden Dome. Life at Notre Dame is lived in a world all its own.

NUMBER OF FRIENDS YOU CAN MAKE: 11,816 (8,372 undergraduates).

WHERE YOU WILL LIVE: With 250,000 residents in South Bend and the surrounding communities, the area is much more vibrant than many people realize. Downtown South Bend is less than two miles from campus and can be reached by a short bus, cab, car or bike ride. The city center offers the Morris Performing Arts Center , the College Football Hall of Fame , the Northern Indiana Center for History , and many local shops and restaurants.Students even cheer on our own minor league baseball team, the South Bend Silverhawks, especially when admission to Coveleski Stadium is only $1.
